About - THE PERRY GROUP

The Friends of Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial, also known as The Perry Group, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial through preservation, education, and community engagement. Working closely with the National Park Service, we help share the story of the Battle of Lake Erie, honor the legacies of those who fought, and celebrate more than 200 years of peace between the United States, Canada, and Britain.

As a volunteer-driven Friends Group, we support special projects, programs, and partnerships that connect visitors and the community to the international significance of Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial.

Our Role in the 2026 Commemorations

The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial will be hosting national America 250 and Declaration 250 programming to honor this historic milestone.

The Perry Group is actively supporting these efforts by assisting with community engagement, historical programming, and local partnerships throughout the 2026 season.
